Bingo Halls in West Virginia: 12 Listings

Quick answers for West Virginia

  • Listings on this page: 12 across 4 areas, plus 109 more in the More listings section.
  • Most bingo: Morgantown, Fairmont and Clarksburg (5 listings).
  • Busiest day: Saturday (4 games on our day pages).
  • Minimum age: 18 to play; someone under 18 may attend with an adult relative or legal guardian.

How we check: we compare each game with the organizer’s own page or a published listing where one exists, and we say so when we could not confirm a detail. Last checked: October 2026. Official source: West Virginia Tax Division (tax.wv.gov). Seen a change? Tell us and we will fix it.

West Virginia bingo is charity bingo. Volunteer fire departments, veterans posts, lodges and other nonprofits run the games under a license from the West Virginia Tax Division. State law requires every licensed game to be open to the public. Last checked: October 2026.

We confirmed 12 games this month: 7 regular charity games, 2 halls with occasional bingo nights and 3 monthly senior center games. Seven come from the organizer’s own website and five from 2026 newspaper or tourism calendars. They are in the Eastern Panhandle (Martinsburg, Ranson, Middleway and Inwood), around Clarksburg, Fairmont and Morgantown, and in Fayetteville, Fairlea and Charleston.

We could not confirm a current game in Wheeling or the rest of the Northern Panhandle, or in Parkersburg, Huntington, Beckley or Bluefield. After those come 109 older or unconfirmed leads. Most halls here post schedules only on Facebook, and volunteer games get called off at short notice, so a quick call before a long drive is wise.

What does a $30 house pack at the fire hall add up to over a month of Mondays, and how much of it reaches the fire company? Try the bingo payout calculator.

West Virginia Bingo at a Glance

  • Who regulates it: the West Virginia Tax Division, under W. Va. Code chapter 47, article 20
  • Minimum age: 18 to play; someone under 18 may attend with an adult relative or legal guardian
  • Main prize limit: during the period of a license, the average total prizes awarded for a bingo occasion (a session) may not exceed $10,000 in value; a super bingo license allows one super bingo occasion a month with up to $50,000 in prizes
  • How often: an annual license allows no more than two sessions a week, so most halls play once or twice
  • On this page: 12 confirmed listings (7 regular charity games, 2 halls with occasional bingo nights and 3 monthly senior center games), most of them in the Eastern Panhandle and around Clarksburg, Fairmont and Morgantown, plus 109 older or unconfirmed leads
  • Last checked: October 2026

Bingo in Martinsburg and the Eastern Panhandle

Berkeley and Jefferson counties, in the Eastern Panhandle, have the best documented bingo in West Virginia: four regular charity games. Martinsburg, Ranson and Middleway play weekly, and Inwood plays the 1st and 3rd Friday. Between them you can play Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Martinsburg has one large dedicated hall, and the three fire companies post their games on their own websites. If you live near the Potomac, our Maryland bingo halls page covers the other side of the river.

Big Bucks Live Bingo (Martinsburg)

  • Address: 215 Monroe Street, Martinsburg, WV 25404 (Directions)
  • Phone: 304-262-0022
  • Days and times: Thursday, Friday and Saturday: doors 5:00pm, early birds 6:30pm, regular bingo 7:00pm. Sunday: doors 3:00pm, early birds 4:30pm, regular bingo 5:00pm. On the first Saturday of the month, Mini Super Bingo, doors open at 3:00pm
  • Good to know:
    • A dedicated hall of more than 30,000 square feet, which it calls the largest in the quad state area. Its website names two sponsoring charities, each with its own state bingo license: Berkeley County Youth Services and the Fostering The Light Foundation.
    • The entry pack is $50 on Thursday and Sunday and $60 on Friday and Saturday, with a free dinner. Extra packs are $20 on Friday and Saturday. For Thursday and Sunday, the hall’s FAQ says $13 and its program sheet says $15.
    • Every regular game pays $150 on Thursday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday have up to 30 games paying up to $2,000. Pull tabs and tip jars are $1 each, on sale when the doors open or soon after.
    • Cash only, with an ATM on site. No one under 18 may enter the building, and there is no smoking, vaping, alcohol, outside food or coolers. Parking is free and lit, and the hall is handicap accessible. A reviewer on the hall’s site places it off Route 11 North in the Berkeley Plaza.

Independent Fire Company Bingo (Ranson)

  • Address: 200 W 2nd Ave, Ranson, WV 25438 (Directions)
  • Phone: (304) 725-2514
  • Days and times: Every Monday; doors 5:00pm, early birds 6:30pm, regular games right after the early birds
  • Good to know:
    • Run by the Independent Fire Company, which serves Ranson and Charles Town.
    • Admission is $30. That covers a 9 pack of regular games and specials, a Quickie, a Bonanza, a Pick 4, a U-Pick-Em and the progressive jackpot.
    • Regular games pay $75 and specials $100. The jackpot is $500 guaranteed, and the company’s bingo page says most nights pay out over $2,500. That page carries no date, so check the price when you call.
    • Older lists put this game at 102 N George St in Charles Town. The fire company gives the Ranson address shown here.

Middleway Volunteer Fire Company Bingo

  • Address: 110 Dark Hill Road, Middleway, WV 25430 (Directions)
  • Phone: (304) 725-0006
  • Days and times: Every Saturday; doors 5:00pm, early birds 6:30pm, regular games 7:00pm
  • Good to know:
    • The company’s bingo page gives the cost to play as $32, but its events calendar still shows $29, so bring $32. Extra games can be added for a small fee.
    • More than 20 games a night and a progressive jackpot. The early bird games pay $50.
    • The bingo page says whether that week’s game is on. It showed Saturday, October 3, 2026 as open.
    • The hall also hosts one-off charity bingos, such as a parks and recreation cash bingo in March 2026 and a designer purse bingo in June 2026.

South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Company Bingo (Inwood)

  • Address: 7556 Winchester Avenue, Inwood, WV (Directions)
  • Phone: (304) 229-5377 (fire company)
  • Days and times: The 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. Door and start times are not posted, so call
  • Good to know:
    • Run by the South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Company.
    • The $30 house pack plays all night and includes the early bird and regular games.
    • Concessions are sold.

Bingo in Morgantown, Fairmont and Clarksburg

Around Morgantown, Fairmont and Clarksburg, West Virginia, five listings are confirmed, but only two are regular charity games. One is Wednesday at the VFW post in Clarksburg, the other Saturday at the Junior fire hall in Barbour County, and neither posts pack prices.

Morgantown and Fairmont each have one hall that holds bingo only now and then, but no weekly game we could confirm. The VFW Post 548 website in Morgantown does not mention bingo. Newburg adds a free monthly senior center game.

Older lists show dozens of fire hall and post games in north central West Virginia, but few organizers post bingo on a website. The Big Bucks Bingo site for Village Square Conference Center in Clarksburg has not been updated in years. The center hosted a festival bingo in March 2026, but we found no current regular schedule.

VFW Post 573 Bingo (Clarksburg)

  • Address: 430 W Pike St, Clarksburg, WV 26301 (Directions)
  • Phone: 304-622-3591
  • Days and times: Every Wednesday; doors 4:00pm, games start promptly at 6:00pm
  • Good to know:
    • Run by VFW Post 573, which says the public is welcome and no membership is required.
    • Tips sold at the door and during the games pay $5, $10, $25 and up to $100. Food and refreshments are available.
    • The post’s bingo page does not give pack prices.

Junior Volunteer Fire Department Bingo

  • Address: 331 Row Ave N, Junior, WV 26275 (Directions)
  • Phone: (304) 823-1856
  • Days and times: Saturday; doors 5:00pm, games 6:45pm
  • Good to know:
    • Run by the Junior Community Volunteer Fire Department in Barbour County, between Belington and Elkins.
    • The department posts cancellations on its website, juniorvfd.com. It called off the game for Saturday, October 10, 2026, so look there or phone before a long drive.
    • An older list also showed a first Sunday afternoon game, which is not on the department’s site.

Cheat Lake Volunteer Fire Department Black Light Bingo (Morgantown)

  • Address: 409 Fairchance Road, Morgantown, WV 26508 (Directions)
  • Days and times: Ticketed bingo nights, not a weekly game. The next one posted is October 31, 2026; the start time is on the ticket page
  • Good to know:
    • A $35 ticket admits one person and includes one regular packet, a dauber, food and drink.
    • Extra packets are $10, or $5 for the special games. Regular games pay $100, specials $150, and the last game is a $1,000 jackpot coverall.
    • Tickets are sold online through a link on the department’s home page. Its events page says fundraiser tickets can also be bought at the station on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There is no phone number posted; questions go to [email protected].
    • An older list shows a weekly Monday game here, but the department’s site does not mention one. Do not count on it without checking.

Knights of Columbus Hall Charity Bingos (Fairmont)

  • Address: 1529 Mary Lou Retton Dr., Fairmont, WV (Directions)
  • Days and times: No weekly game confirmed. Local groups hold charity bingos here on Sunday afternoons; in 2026 they fell on May 3, May 17, August 2 and October 4, with doors or early birds at 12:00pm and regular games at 1:00pm or 1:30pm
  • Good to know:
    • Each bingo is run by a different group. In 2026 the hosts were the GFWC Women’s Club of Fairmont, the Disability Action Center, the Fairmont Senior High cheer boosters and Immaculate Conception Parish.
    • Tickets were $25 in advance and $30 at the door at the May and August games.
    • These dates come from the Times West Virginian community columns, which announce each bingo a few weeks ahead.
    • We have no confirmed phone number for the hall, and could not confirm the Thursday night game shown on older lists.

Newburg Seniors Bingo

  • Address: East Railroad Street, Newburg, WV (Directions)
  • Days and times: Third Thursday of each month at 1:00pm
  • Good to know:
    • A free social game at the Newburg Senior Center in Preston County, open to all ages. It is not a cash pack session like the fire hall games.
    • The Visit Mountaineer Country tourism calendar lists it with dates through December 17, 2026. It gives no phone number or house number.

West Virginia Bingo by Day of the Week

Weekly games with a confirmed day in West Virginia, from our Monday to Sunday pages. Tap a day to see its list. The gold column marks the busiest day.

Saturday has the most games (4). No game is listed for Tuesday. By day: Monday 1, Tuesday 0, Wednesday 1, Thursday 1, Friday 1, Saturday 4 and Sunday 1. Added up, that is 9 game nights a week, and a hall that plays several nights counts once on each night.

Bingo in Beckley, Fayetteville and Southern West Virginia

Southern West Virginia has two confirmed listings, and the only regular charity game is every Saturday at the American Legion post in Fayetteville. The other is a monthly senior center Super Bingo in Fairlea, next to Lewisburg. We could not confirm a current game in Beckley itself, or in Princeton or Bluefield. The Legion, Moose and fire department games for Beckley, Beaver and Bluefield in the tables further down are leads only.

American Legion Post 149 Bingo (Fayetteville)

  • Address: 205 W. Maple Ave., Fayetteville, WV (Directions)
  • Days and times: Every Saturday, 6:00pm to 9:00pm
  • Good to know:
    • Run by American Legion Post 149 and open to the community. No phone number or prices are published.
    • This game comes from the Beckley Register-Herald calendars, not from the post itself. They listed it from late August through October 9, 2026.
    • One September listing gave the hours as 6:00pm to 7:00pm, so check how late the game runs.

Greenbrier County Committee on Aging Super Bingo (Fairlea)

  • Address: 110 Taylor Lane, Fairlea, WV (Directions)
  • Phone: 304-645-1978
  • Days and times: Second Tuesday of each month. The start time is not listed, so call
  • Good to know:
    • For people 60 and older. This is a senior center program, not a public charity session.
    • The center is open daily from 10:00am to 12:30pm.
    • These details come from the Beckley Register-Herald daily calendar of October 7, 2026, not from the center’s own site.

Bingo in Charleston, Huntington and the Kanawha Valley

Charleston, Huntington and the Kanawha Valley of West Virginia have just one confirmed listing: a monthly senior center game in Charleston, described as for members. We found no weekly charity bingo here on an organizer’s website or a 2026 news calendar.

The St. Francis of Assisi parish website in St. Albans lists its weekly events without bingo, so check before counting on the Monday game in the older list. Redmen Bingo in Huntington was named in a December 2024 news story alongside the Fraternal Order of Police lodge, but we found no 2026 schedule for it. The Mardi Gras Casino website in Cross Lanes lists no bingo.

Kanawha Valley Senior Services Bingo (Charleston)

  • Address: 1710 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, WV (Directions)
  • Phone: 304-348-0707
  • Days and times: Third Friday of each month at 10:30am
  • Good to know:
    • For Kanawha Valley Senior Services members, according to a May 2026 notice, so ask about joining before you go.
    • Lunch is served on weekdays at 11:45am.
    • The schedule comes from the Charleston Gazette-Mail bulletin board of October 7, 2026. In May the same column gave the third Wednesday, so confirm the day by phone.

Bingo in Wheeling, Parkersburg and the Ohio Valley

We could not confirm a single current weekly game in Wheeling, Weirton, Moundsville, Parkersburg or Vienna, West Virginia, so Ohio Valley players will find only older leads here. Parish, lodge and fire department games along the river are advertised on Facebook and in church bulletins, not on websites we could check.

The Wheeling Island casino website lists no bingo. The older leads for Wheeling, Weirton, Moundsville and Parkersburg are in two tables below: Northern Panhandle and Ohio Valley, and Charleston, Huntington and the Western Counties. Our Ohio bingo halls page covers the games across the river.

More West Virginia Bingo Listings

The 107 rows in the regional tables below come from an older local bingo directory with no date on it. We have not re-confirmed them, and some will have changed nights or stopped playing. Treat each one as a lead and phone first. The first short table holds 2 newer leads: halls that host a bingo now and then but post no regular schedule.

West Virginia Bingo Rules

  • Who regulates it: the State Tax Commissioner, through the West Virginia Tax Division, under W. Va. Code chapter 47, article 20
  • Who may run bingo: only tax exempt charitable or public service organizations that have existed in West Virginia for at least two years, including religious, fraternal and veterans groups, volunteer fire departments and rescue units
  • Open to the public: every licensed bingo session must be open to the general public
  • Minimum age: 18 to play; someone under 18 may attend with an adult relative or legal guardian, and a hall may set a stricter house rule
  • How often: an annual license allows no more than two sessions a week, each up to six hours; a limited occasion license allows one session a day for up to two weeks
  • Prize limit: state law says the average total prizes awarded by a licensee for any bingo occasion may not exceed $10,000 in value over the period of a license. The Tax Division’s handbook adds that a hall may still pay out more than $10,000 at one occasion. Prizes may be money or merchandise, but not alcohol
  • Super bingo: a separate $5,000 license allows one super bingo a month with up to $50,000 in prizes
  • Taxes on winnings: the Tax Division says bingo prizes are taxable income and may face federal withholding, and that West Virginia does not withhold state tax on them

The West Virginia Tax Division posts the license forms and its Charitable Bingo Handbook, and takes questions at (304) 558-3333. It publishes no list of licensed games, so no hall here could be checked against one. A game that hands out more than 100 cards must offer smoking and nonsmoking sections if it allows smoking at all. A county may also vote to end charity bingo within its borders.

West Virginia Bingo FAQ

Is bingo legal in West Virginia?

Yes. West Virginia allows charitable bingo under W. Va. Code chapter 47, article 20, with a license from the West Virginia Tax Division. To qualify, a tax exempt charitable or public service organization must have existed in the state for at least two years. Volunteer fire departments, veterans posts, lodges and churches are the usual hosts.

How old do you have to be to play bingo in West Virginia?

You must be 18 to play bingo in West Virginia. Someone under 18 may attend with an adult relative or legal guardian, but not play. Some halls are stricter: Big Bucks Live Bingo in Martinsburg does not allow anyone under 18 in the building.

What is the biggest bingo prize allowed in West Virginia?

A super bingo can pay up to $50,000 in prizes. A West Virginia charity needs a $5,000 super bingo license for it and may hold one a month. State law (W. Va. Code 47-20-10) caps the average total prizes per bingo occasion, meaning a session, at $10,000 in value over the period of a license. The Tax Division’s handbook says that is an average, so one session may still pay out more than $10,000.

How many nights a week can a West Virginia charity run bingo?

Two at most. An annual West Virginia bingo license allows no more than two sessions a week, each up to six hours long. A hall that plays more often, such as Big Bucks Live Bingo in Martinsburg with four nights, does it with more than one licensed charity.

Do West Virginia bingo games have to let the public in?

Yes. West Virginia law says every bingo occasion held under a state license shall be open to the general public. A licensed lodge or post game is not for members only. VFW Post 573 in Clarksburg, for example, says the public is welcome and no membership is required. The three monthly senior center games on this page are different: one is for people 60 and older and one was described as for members, so ask first.

Why call before I go?

Most West Virginia games are run by volunteers at fire halls, posts and lodges, and a game can be called off at short notice. The Junior Volunteer Fire Department cancelled its Saturday game on October 10, 2026. Only 12 listings on this page were confirmed in October 2026. The other 109 are older or unconfirmed leads, most from an undated directory, so a call is the only way to be sure a game is still on.
