Maryland Bingo Questions
How old do you have to be to play bingo in Maryland?
It depends on the hall. Bingo World requires players to be 21 or older. The Bel Air Knights of Columbus let children attend but requires winners to be 18. Call the hall if you plan to bring a younger family member.
Is bingo legal in Maryland?
Yes. Charity bingo is regulated county by county in Maryland. In Washington County, for example, the county commissioners issue bingo permits to nonprofit groups and cap single-game prizes at $1,000. Other counties set their own rules.
Is there bingo every day in Maryland?
Yes, in the Baltimore area and Southern Maryland. Bingo World runs sessions every day, and ADF Bingo plays five days a week. Rural counties usually have one weekly game at a fire company or club.
How can I tell if a Maryland bingo hall is still open?
Call the number listed before you go. Schedules change, and some halls have closed recently, including Bingo Island in Hagerstown and Bingo-Rama in Dundalk, which we left off this page.
