Michigan Bingo Rules

  • Who regulates it: the Michigan Lottery Charitable Gaming division, under the state Bingo Act of 1972
  • Who can run it: licensed charities; a hall owner who rents space to a licensed charity needs a hall license
  • Players: 18 or older
  • Large annual license: prizes up to $1,100 per game and $3,500 per session
  • Small annual license: prize limit of $300
  • One-time events: a $25 special license, up to four events a year, each lasting up to seven consecutive days
  • Supplies: bingo paper and equipment must come from a licensed supplier
