Florida bingo is split in two. Charity bingo is run by licensed nonprofits such as veterans groups, lodges, churches and Shrine clubs under a strict state law, and county senior programs hold free games. Tribal casinos run their own bingo under separate federal rules. Last checked: October 2026. One county program below was checked at its source; the halls under it come from a 2020 directory that lists no schedules, so call before you drive.

Florida Bingo Rules
- Who can run it: charitable, nonprofit and veterans groups that are tax-exempt and have been active for at least 3 years, plus condo, homeowner and mobile home associations playing for their residents
- How often: no more than 2 days a week
- Prize limits: $50 for most games, and jackpots up to $250, with no more than 3 jackpots per session
- Players: no one under 18 can play or help run the game
- Workers: must be members of the sponsoring group and cannot be paid
- Location: the group must be in the county where the game is held, or within 15 miles
These limits come from Florida Statutes section 849.0931 (Florida Senate, bingo statute). Instant bingo, played on pull-tab style tickets, has its own rules and is not held to the 2-day limit. Charitable groups must put the proceeds toward their charitable purposes. Breaking the law is a misdemeanor for a first offense.
Those caps are low compared with other states, which is why many Florida players choose a tribal casino bingo room instead. Casino bingo follows federal and tribal rules, so the Florida limits above do not apply there.

Yes. Florida has charity bingo at veterans posts, lodges, churches and Shrine clubs, free senior bingo run by counties and cities, and bingo rooms at tribal casinos. Many hall listings online are old, so call first.
How much can a bingo game pay in Florida?
For charity bingo, state law caps most prizes at $50 and jackpots at $250. Tribal casino bingo follows different rules and can pay more.
How old do you have to be to play bingo in Florida?
You must be 18 or older to play charity bingo. Free senior programs may set their own age minimums, often 55 or older.
How many days a week can Florida bingo be held?
A qualifying group can hold bingo no more than 2 days a week. Instant bingo is not held to that limit.
Who can run bingo in Florida?
Tax-exempt charitable, nonprofit and veterans groups that have been active for at least 3 years, plus resident associations for their own communities.
Why call before I go?
Many Florida listings are years old, seasonal residents change the schedule, and halls close without notice. A short call saves a wasted trip.
