Bingo Hall Guide for Newfoundland and Labrador

Bingo in Newfoundland and Labrador is charity bingo: only charitable, religious and incorporated non-profit groups can hold a provincial lottery licence, and a large share of the play is radio and TV bingo at home. This is a short and incomplete list: we could confirm only 5 games and halls, in St. John’s, Tilton, Gander and Botwood, and a day of the week for just 2 of them. Last checked: October 2026. The 5 were checked against provincial food inspection reports, the Town of Gander calendar or the club’s own page, and 8 more are older leads; we could not confirm any game in Mount Pearl, Placentia, Grand Falls-Windsor, Clarenville, Corner Brook, Stephenville, Deer Lake or anywhere in Labrador. Most halls in the province post their sessions only on Facebook, so phone before you drive.

Newfoundland and Labrador Bingo at a Glance

  • Who regulates it: the Department of Government Services, which licenses all charitable lotteries in the province
  • Minimum age: none set in the province’s bingo rules; a hall may set its own, so ask
  • Prize limit: $5,000 in combined prizes for a bingo event and $2,500 for one game, with an accumulating jackpot of up to $7,500 on top
  • On this page: only 5 confirmed games and halls (1 in St. John’s, 1 in Tilton, 2 in Gander and 1 in Botwood), with a day confirmed for just 2 of them, plus 8 older leads; it is not a full list
  • Nothing confirmed in: Mount Pearl, Placentia, Grand Falls-Windsor, Clarenville, Corner Brook, Stephenville, Deer Lake or anywhere in Labrador; most halls in the province post their schedules only on Facebook
  • Last checked: October 2026

Bingo in St. John’s and the Avalon Peninsula

We list two confirmed bingo halls on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador, Kenmount Bingo in St. John’s and Tilton Bingo Hall in Tilton, and we could not confirm a day or time for either. Both appear in provincial food inspection reports, Kenmount Bingo in August 2025 and Tilton Bingo Hall in February 2026. An inspection shows that a hall was operating on that date; it does not tell us when bingo is played, and we found no website for either hall and took both phone numbers from a directory. In Conception Bay South, CBS Bingo advertises a Sunday game at the Royal Canadian Legion hall on a site last updated in March 2024, and in Carbonear the Knights of Columbus Monday game was last on the town calendar in March 2022; both are in the table of leads further down. We found nothing we could confirm in Mount Pearl or Placentia.

Worth a stop nearby (map links):

Kenmount Bingo (St. John’s)

  • Address: 101 MacDonald Drive, St. John’s, NL A1A 2K9 (Directions)
  • Phone: 709-754-4011 (from a directory listing, not from the hall)
  • Days and times: Not posted anywhere we could read; call for the current sessions
  • Good to know:
    • The province lists the hall as Kenmount Bingo Corporation. Its food premises inspection on August 28, 2025 found the hall compliant, which tells us it was operating then.
    • Session days, prices and jackpots are not on any page we could open. The hall’s only web presence we found is a Facebook page.
    • The province’s report spells the street McDonald Drive. The postal code comes from the same directory as the phone number.

Tilton Bingo Hall

  • Address: 702-710 Conception Bay Highway, Tilton, NL (Directions)
  • Phone: 709-786-3255 (directory listing)
  • Days and times: Not confirmed; phone the hall for session days and start times
  • Good to know:
    • A dedicated bingo hall on the Conception Bay Highway. The province inspected its food premises on February 13, 2026 and lists it as a yearly operation.
    • The directory lists it only as Bingo Hall, Tilton. Ask who runs the games, what a book costs and whether there is an age rule when you call.
    • The inspection report gives no postal code, so the directions link uses the street address alone.

Bingo in Gander and Central Newfoundland

In Newfoundland and Labrador’s central region we list three confirmed games: two in Gander, tied to Thursday and Wednesday, and one in Botwood whose day is not posted. Neither Gander day is a firm weekly schedule: the Elks game is on the town calendar for one date, October 15, 2026, and the Lions Club’s Wednesday comes from a club page that carries no date. The Botwood Lions Club speaks of weekly bingo on its own page without naming the day. We could not confirm a game in Grand Falls-Windsor or Clarenville; a Kinsmen Club Bingo listing in Grand Falls-Windsor and the Shrine Club bingo hall in Lewisporte are in the table of leads further down.

Worth a stop nearby (map links):

Elks Thursday Night Bingo (Gander)

  • Where: Gander. The town’s listing gives no street address; a directory places Elks Lodge No 310 on Caldwell St
  • Phone: 709-256-8112 (directory listing for Elks Lodge No 310, not confirmed by the lodge)
  • Days and times: Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 6:00pm is the one date on the Town of Gander calendar; not confirmed as a weekly game
  • Good to know:
    • The Town of Gander lists the game among its coming events. We could read only the title, the date and the time, so we cannot say whether 6:00pm is doors or the first game, or what cards cost.
    • The name says Thursday night, but we saw one date only. Call to check that it runs every week and to get the street number.

Gander Lions Club TV Bingo

  • Address: 29 Memorial Drive, Gander, NL A1V 1W5 (Directions)
  • Days and times: Wednesdays: cards on sale at the club at 6:30pm, game live at 7:00pm on Rogers TV Channel 9
  • Good to know:
    • This is the club’s weekly TV bingo. Most people play at home, but the club’s page says you are welcome to come to the club and play.
    • Cards are $6 each for six games, and the escalating jackpot tops out at $7,500. All profit goes back to people in Gander and nearby communities.
    • Cards are also sold at Friends Lounge, Needs Northeast, Needs on Elizabeth, Gander Co-op, the Canadian Tire Gas Bar, Mainly Mags, Frasers Pub, Mister T’s, Foodland and Kelly’s Corner Store.
    • To find the club, turn right at the sign on Memorial Drive, then take the first left.
    • The page has no date and no bingo phone line; the one number on it is for hall rentals. It names Wednesday only as the night cards are sold at the club, so treat the day as the club’s own word and not a dated schedule.

Botwood Lions Club

  • Address: 249 Water St., Botwood, NL (Directions)
  • Days and times: Weekly, but the day and time are not posted; ask before you drive
  • Good to know:
    • The club’s home page, which shows a draw dated September 30, 2026, reminds players that its weekly bingo games are run entirely by community volunteers.
    • The same notice mentions the Lions Club/VOCM Cares Radio Bingo, which is described further down.
    • The site gives no bingo phone line and no postal code. Its only number is for renting the hall, which it calls the Lions Den.

Bingo in Western Newfoundland

We list no confirmed bingo game in western Newfoundland, in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador: we could not confirm a single game in Corner Brook, Stephenville or Deer Lake. When we checked in October 2026, the three town websites listed no bingo. The one lead is an undated directory entry that calls the Royal Canadian Legion in Deer Lake a bingo hall; it is listed with the other leads near the end of this page. The Saturday radio bingo on VOCM, described below, sells its cards at retailers throughout the province.

Bingo in Labrador

We list no confirmed hall game in Labrador, the mainland part of Newfoundland and Labrador: nothing we could open shows a weekly game in Happy Valley-Goose Bay or Labrador City. The Lions Club/VOCM Cares Radio Bingo is carried on Big Land Labrador on Saturdays at 5:30pm from September to April. In Happy Valley-Goose Bay, the Labrador Friendship Centre at 49 Grenfell St, (709) 896-8302, has listed 50+ Bingo afternoons for its seniors program, in November 2025 and on April 17, 2026; they are occasional, not a weekly public game. If no hall is within reach, our page on online bingo sites covers another way to play.

Radio and TV Bingo in Newfoundland and Labrador

Much of the bingo in Newfoundland and Labrador is played at home. The province calls it media bingo, and in the year to March 2024 its 32 media bingo licences reported $5,484,798 in gross proceeds. The game heard across the province is the Lions Club/VOCM Cares Radio Bingo, and this is how its 2026 to 2027 season works:

  • When: every Saturday from September to April, live on VOCM at 6:00pm, or 5:30pm on Big Land Labrador.
  • Cards: $5 each, with four games on a card, sold at retailers throughout the province.
  • Prizes: $500 and $1,000 for the first two games and $1,500 for the full card. The fourth game is an escalating jackpot for a full card in 52 numbers or less; it grows each week it is not won, and a consolation prize is paid when it is not.
  • To claim the jackpot, call 1-877-333-4946 before the 53rd number is called. In every game the first caller with a good bingo stops the game, and more than one winner splits the prize.
  • Listen on a radio. Online streams and apps can run behind the live call.
  • Winning cards must be verified by 5:00pm on the Wednesday after the game.

Some clubs run their own TV bingo. The Gander Lions game above is one, and a directory of bingo halls also names Clarenville TV Bingo (709-466-4222), Minor Hockey TV Bingo in Bay Roberts (709-788-3072) and Upper Trinity TV Bingo in Dildo (709-582-3472). We could not confirm a day or a channel for those three.

Newfoundland and Labrador Bingo Rules

  • Who regulates it: the Department of Government Services, through its Consumer and Financial Services division; the lotteries office is at 149 Smallwood Drive, in the Motor Registration Building
  • The law: the Lottery Licensing Regulations, made under section 207 of the Criminal Code, with the bingo rules in Schedule A; the latest changes took effect on July 2, 2024
  • Who can hold a licence: a charitable or religious organization, or an incorporated non-profit raising money solely for charitable or religious purposes; the licence cannot be transferred and the licensee must run the game itself
  • Prize limits: $5,000 in combined prizes for a bingo event and $2,500 for any one game; licences issued before July 2, 2024 keep the old limits of $3,000 and $1,500
  • Jackpots and extras: on top of the $5,000, a licensee may run up to 2 extra 50/50 style games capped at $2,500 each, one accumulating jackpot capped at $7,500 and one linked satellite game
  • Minimum age: none stated for bingo players in the regulations or the bingo rules; the only age rules cover prizes, such as alcohol only for people over 19
  • How often: at most 2 bingo events a week for each licensee, one event a day in a hall, and none after 12:00am or before 8:00am; charities sharing a hall as an umbrella association get one event a week each, up to 7 a week
  • Where the money goes: expenses are capped at 20% of gross bingo proceeds, the licensee must make every reasonable effort to return at least 15% to charitable or religious purposes, and the licence fee is 1% of prizes paid

The department sets out who can apply on its Charitable Lottery Licences page, and the General Rules for Bingo Events give the prize limits and the rules for calling and checking a game. Radio and TV games are licensed as media bingo: the cards must be numbered and must show the station or channel, the licence number and the dates, times and prizes. Breakopen tickets, the local pull tabs, are licensed on their own or together with bingo. Because the rules set no age for players, do not assume a hall admits children or that it does not; ask. A complaint about a game goes to the organization first and then to the lotteries office, at (709) 729-2600 or toll free 1-877-968-2600. Older documents call the department Digital Government and Service NL. Other provinces set different rules: see our page on bingo rules by province, or the hall guides for Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

Newfoundland and Labrador Bingo FAQ

Where can I play bingo in Newfoundland and Labrador?

We could confirm only five games and halls in Newfoundland and Labrador in October 2026, and it is not a full list: Kenmount Bingo in St. John’s, Tilton Bingo Hall in Tilton, the Elks Thursday Night Bingo and the Lions Club’s Wednesday TV bingo in Gander, and the Botwood Lions Club’s weekly bingo. Radio bingo on VOCM plays every Saturday from September to April.

Where can I play bingo in St. John’s?

Kenmount Bingo at 101 MacDonald Drive is the one bingo hall we could confirm in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador: a provincial food inspection found it operating in August 2025. Where can I play bingo in Corner Brook?

We could not confirm a bingo game in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, or in Stephenville or Deer Lake. The confirmed games this page lists are in Gander, Botwood, Tilton and St. John’s. The Lions Club/VOCM Cares Radio Bingo is on VOCM on Saturdays at 6:00pm from September to April.
