Bingo Halls in New Jersey: 26 Listings

Quick answers for New Jersey

  • Listings on this page: 26 across 5 areas, plus 69 more in the More listings section.
  • Most bingo: Clifton and North Jersey (8 listings).
  • Busiest day: Wednesday (8 games on our day pages).
  • Minimum age: 18 to play, and under 18s are not allowed in the bingo room.
  • Prize limit: $1,000 for a single game and $3,000 in total for one occasion, as published by the Commission, not counting 50/50 games and progressive jackpots.

How we check: we compare each game with the organizer’s own page or a published listing where one exists, and we say so when we could not confirm a detail. Last checked: October 2026. Official source: bingo and raffle license instructions (njconsumeraffairs.gov). Seen a change? Tell us and we will fix it.

New Jersey bingo is charity bingo. Parishes, volunteer fire companies, Elks lodges, Boys & Girls Clubs and other registered nonprofits run the games under state rules, with a license from their own town. You must be 18 to play. Games run from Passaic, Bergen and Union counties through Mercer and Middlesex to Ocean County, the mainland beside Atlantic City and Cape May.

Last checked: October 2026. We checked 25 of the 26 games below against the organizer’s own website or lodge page, and one against a dated event listing. The 69 rows further down come from older directories and have not been confirmed again.

We could not confirm a game in Hudson, Morris, Monmouth, Gloucester, Salem, Sussex or Hunterdon County, so any leads there are in those older listings. Volunteer groups change nights, many of their pages carry no date and no prices, and one fire company now lists a monthly game where older lists show a weekly one. A quick call before a long drive is wise.

New Jersey Bingo Rules

  • Who regulates it: the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission, in the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, under the Bingo Licensing Law (N.J.S.A. 5:8-24 and following); the town where the game is played issues the license, and only in towns that adopted the law by referendum
  • Who can run it: registered veterans groups, churches and religious congregations, charitable, educational and fraternal organizations, civic and service clubs, senior citizen clubs, volunteer fire companies and first aid or rescue squads
  • Prize limits: as published by the Commission, $1,000 for a single game and $3,000 for all games on one occasion; games that pay a share of card sales, such as 50/50s and progressive jackpots, are outside those limits, and a bonus prize of up to $500 a game may be added
  • Minimum age: 18 to play; no one under 18 may be in the bingo room, except 13 to 18 year olds with a parent’s written permission who are serving food and drinks
  • Cost to play: under the Commission’s rules as last published in April 2023, admission of no more than $5.00, including at least one card for all regular games; extra cards and special games cost no more than $1.00 each, and a hall may charge a separate fee for an electronic card device
  • How often: each registered organization may hold bingo on no more than six days in a calendar month, which is why halls that play most days host several groups in turn
  • Sundays: only where the town has passed an ordinance allowing Sunday games and the license says so
  • Workers and alcohol: the game is run by members of the licensed organization, and anyone paid to work it must hold a compensated worker license from the Commission; no alcohol may be sold or drunk in the room during play unless the premises hold a liquor license and the Commission’s approval

These limits come from the Commission’s published rules, N.J.A.C. 13:47, and its bingo and raffle license instructions. The copy of the rules on the Commission’s website was last revised in April 2023. State law lets the Commission change the prize limits by regulation, so treat every figure here as the limit it last published.

The age of 18, the six day limit and the $1,000 and $3,000 prize caps are also written into the state’s bingo law. Pull tabs are called instant raffle games in New Jersey and are licensed separately. The Commission says about 12,000 organizations are registered for bingo and raffles, but we found no public list of them or of licensed games. Ask the town clerk whether a game holds a license.

New Jersey Bingo FAQ

Is bingo legal in New Jersey?

Yes, when a qualified nonprofit runs it. A parish, fire company, veterans post, lodge or club must register with New Jersey’s Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission. It also needs a bingo license from its town. Free games with nominal prizes need no license.

How old do you have to be to play bingo in New Jersey?

You must be 18 to play bingo in New Jersey. State rules also keep anyone under 18 out of the bingo room, except 13 to 18 year olds with a parent’s written permission to serve or sell food and drinks.

How much can a bingo game pay in New Jersey?

New Jersey rules cap a single bingo game at $1,000 and all the prizes at one occasion at $3,000. Games that pay a share of the card sales, such as 50/50 games and progressive jackpots, are not counted in those limits.

How much does it cost to play bingo in New Jersey?

The Commission’s published rules cap bingo admission in New Jersey at $5.00, and that must include at least one card for all the regular games. The Brick Elks charge $2.00 admission, Prospect Heights Volunteer Fire Company in Ewing charges $5, and the Lodi Boys & Girls Club includes admission in its first $5.00 book.

Where can I play bingo every day in New Jersey?

Two New Jersey halls post a game for every day of the week. One is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County hall at 1050 Jeanette Avenue in Union; the other is Mainland Bingo at 1129 North New Road in Pleasantville. Union posted its schedule in October 2023, so phone 908-687-7976 before you go.

Why call before I go?

New Jersey games are run by volunteers, and each group may play only six days a month, so days and times shift more than any listing shows. Several schedules here come from pages with no date, and the Glendora Fire Company now lists a monthly game where older lists show a weekly one. A short call saves a wasted drive.
