Bingo in British Columbia is played mostly at Chances gaming centres, bingo halls and a few casinos run for the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC), from Planet Bingo in Vancouver to Treasure Cove in Prince George. Legion branches and community halls add smaller charity games, and you must be 19 to play anywhere. Last checked: October 2026. This page lists 23 confirmed games, 14 with full details and 9 in the tables: 21 were checked against the organizer’s own website, and 2, Chances Kamloops and Chances Playtime Campbell River, rest on BCLC’s venue finder alone, with no schedule confirmed. One more is an older lead. Community bingo beyond the Legion branches is undercounted here, because church, seniors’ centre, First Nation and service club games are not covered, and we could not confirm any game in Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, Abbotsford, Nanaimo, Courtenay, Port Alberni, Vernon, Penticton, Dawson Creek, Terrace, Quesnel or Cranbrook. Three centres have no session times on this page and Chances Signal Point says its schedule can change at any time, so phone before you drive.

Bingo in Vancouver, Langley and the North Shore
We confirmed 7 bingo games around Vancouver, British Columbia: one each in Vancouver, Langley, Maple Ridge, Aldergrove and Squamish and two free Legion meat bingos in North Vancouver, with a game somewhere on every day of the week. More British Columbia Bingo Listings
We could not confirm this one for 2026. It comes from an undated directory listing, its own website did not load and it is not on BCLC’s venue finder, so treat it as a lead and call first.

| Harbour City Bingo, 501-530 Fifth St, Nanaimo, BC V9R 1P1 | Not listed. Found in one directory only | 250-754-1421 | Directions |
Some names from older lists are not on this page. Bingo Esquimalt on Esquimalt Road in Victoria closed in March 2020. Chances Abbotsford, Chances Courtenay and Chances Casino Kelowna show no bingo on BCLC’s finder, and Chances Casino Terrace shows no bingo on its own site.
British Columbia Bingo Rules
- Who regulates it: the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO), under the Gaming Control Act that came into force on April 13, 2026; it replaced the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch
- Who runs the halls: the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) conducts and manages commercial bingo, and operators such as Gateway Casinos, Great Canadian Entertainment and Berezan Hospitality run the buildings as its service providers
- Minimum age: 19; people under 19 may not enter a gambling venue or take part in any gambling, and that includes charitable events
- Minors at charity bingo: a minor may be on the premises of a licensed charity bingo only under the supervision of a parent, guardian or responsible adult, and may not play or help run the game
- Charity bingo licences: the IGCO issues Class A licences to charitable and religious organizations, Class B to community fundraising groups and Class C to designated fairs and exhibitions; all three may run bingo
- Prize limits: none on individual prize values under Class A; under Class B a prize cannot exceed $500, an entry cannot cost more than $2 and the event’s projected gross revenue cannot exceed $20,000
- How many sessions: a licensed group may hold no more than 104 bingo events in a calendar year, and no bingo game may run for more than one day
- Online play: PlayNow.com, run by BCLC, is the only legal online gambling site in the province
The IGCO explains the licence classes on its charitable gaming page, the province sets out the age rule on its Gambling in B.C. page, and BCLC’s venue finder shows which centres have bingo; it tagged 16 of its 37 venues with bingo in October 2026. The Chances centres are not charity halls: BCLC conducts the bingo and an operator runs the building, though Planet Bingo is run by a community association that supports local charities and Chances Cowichan says its proceeds go to non-profit groups in the Cowichan Valley. We found no official prize limit for BCLC halls. Licensed charity bingos buy their bingo paper through BCLC, and a bonus or hybrid jackpot must be made easier to win once it reaches $30,000. Other provinces set different rules; see our page on bingo rules by province.
British Columbia Bingo FAQ
Where can I play bingo in British Columbia?
The BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) tags 16 venues across British Columbia with bingo, most of them Chances gaming centres, and Legion branches and community halls run smaller charity games. We confirmed 23 games in October 2026: 7 around Vancouver, 2 in the Fraser Valley, 4 on Vancouver Island, 5 in the Okanagan and Thompson, 4 in the north and 1 in the Kootenays. Two of them, Chances Kamloops and Chances Playtime Campbell River, have no confirmed schedule.
How old do you have to be to play bingo in British Columbia?
You must be 19 to play bingo in British Columbia. The provincial government says people under 19 may not enter gambling venues or take part in any gambling, and that covers charitable events too. At a licensed charity bingo a minor can be in the room only under an adult’s supervision and cannot play.
Who regulates bingo in British Columbia?
The Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) regulates all gambling in British Columbia, including bingo halls and licensed charity bingo, under the Gaming Control Act that came into force on April 13, 2026. The BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) conducts and manages commercial bingo, and private operators and community groups run the halls for it.
What is a Chances gaming centre?
A Chances centre is a British Columbia gaming centre with slot machines and, in most cases, a bingo hall, run by an operator for the BC Lottery Corporation. Not every Chances has bingo: BCLC’s finder shows none at Chances Abbotsford, Chances Courtenay or Chances Casino Kelowna. The Chances centres on this page with bingo are in Maple Ridge, Squamish, Mission, Duncan, Campbell River, Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Fort St. John, Prince Rupert, Williams Lake and Castlegar.
Is there a prize limit for bingo in British Columbia?
British Columbia has no single cap on bingo prizes. For licensed charity bingo, a Class B community fundraising licence limits a prize to $500 and an entry to $2, while Class A licences for charities have no limit on prize values. We found no official prize limit for BCLC bingo halls; Chances Mission showed a $24,678 jackpot on October 11, 2026.
Is Bingo Esquimalt still open?
No. Bingo Esquimalt, the bingo hall on Esquimalt Road in the Victoria area of British Columbia, closed in March 2020, according to a 2022 local report on plans to redevelop the site. In Victoria we confirmed Tuesday bingo at Trafalgar/Pro Patria Legion Branch 292 and Wednesday bingo at Strawberry Vale Community Club.
Where can I play bingo in Vancouver?
Planet Bingo at 2655 Main Street is the one bingo hall we confirmed in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, and it plays continuous drop-in bingo every day, with sales from 1:00pm and bingo from 1:15pm. Around the region we also confirmed Cascades Casino Langley (Thursday to Sunday) and Chances Maple Ridge (Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), plus free Legion meat bingos in North Vancouver on Saturday and Sunday.
Where can I play bingo in Surrey?
We could not confirm a bingo game in Surrey, British Columbia; Elements Casino Surrey shows no bingo on BCLC’s venue finder. The confirmed games this page lists in that part of the province are Cascades Casino Langley, Thursday to Sunday at 2:30pm and 6:00pm, the Monday 6:15pm bingo at Aldergrove Legion Branch 265, and Planet Bingo in Vancouver, every day with sales from 1:00pm.
Where can I play bingo in Victoria?
Victoria, British Columbia has two confirmed charity games. Trafalgar/Pro Patria Legion Branch 292 on Gorge Road East plays every Tuesday at 6:00pm, and Strawberry Vale Community Club on High Street plays every Wednesday, with doors at 5:30pm and regular games at 7:15pm; the club’s bingo page dates from February 2025, so phone first. Bingo Esquimalt, the old bingo hall, closed in March 2020.
Why call before I go?
British Columbia centres change their line-ups: Chances Signal Point says its schedule can change at any time, and Planet Bingo posted a new program to start on October 12, 2026. Chances Cowichan, Chances Kamloops and Chances Playtime Campbell River have no confirmed session times on this page, and Legion games can stop for holidays; Kelowna Legion’s poster said it would close on Thanksgiving Monday, October 12, 2026. A call also gets you the price of a book, which most halls do not post.
