Bingo in Delaware is charity bingo. Volunteer fire companies, Elks lodges, an American Legion post, a Catholic parish and a senior services nonprofit run the games. Each holds a state permit from the Delaware Board of Charitable Gaming. You’ll find them in Claymont and New Castle near Wilmington, in and around Dover in Kent County, and in Lewes, Seaford, Millsboro and Georgetown in Sussex County. Last checked: October 2026. We checked all 9 games below against the organizer’s own website or calendar. The state’s open licensing data also shows each group holding a bingo permit that runs to late 2026. Of the 9, 8 play every week and 1, at CHEER in Georgetown, plays once a month. Six more are leads we could not confirm. Volunteers run these games, most groups may hold only one bingo night a week, and posted times can be old. A quick call before a long drive is wise.

Delaware Bingo FAQ
Is bingo legal in Delaware?
Yes. Delaware allows bingo as charitable gaming, run by veterans’ groups, churches, charities, volunteer fire companies and fraternal lodges under a permit from the Delaware Board of Charitable Gaming. Every confirmed game here is run by a nonprofit, not a commercial hall.
Who regulates bingo in Delaware?
The Delaware Board of Charitable Gaming, under Title 28, Chapter 15 of the Delaware Code. The Division of Professional Regulation in Dover handles the Board’s permits and investigations. You can reach it at (302) 744-4500.
How old do you have to be to play bingo in Delaware?
You must be 18. Delaware law bars anyone under 18 from playing bingo or even being in the area where it is played. Holy Rosary in Claymont and CHEER in Georgetown say so on their own flyers.
What is the biggest bingo prize allowed in Delaware?
$350 for a single game, and $3,000 for all prizes at one bingo night. Delaware does not count cookie jar games toward those limits, which is why the Dover Elks lodge page lists cookie jar jackpots up to $1,000.
How many nights a week can a Delaware group hold bingo?
One, for most groups. A Delaware group licensed after July 14, 1998 may hold 1 bingo event a week. Groups licensed before that date may hold up to 10 a month.
Where can I play bingo in Wilmington?
We could not confirm a weekly game inside the City of Wilmington, Delaware. Close by, Holy Rosary parish in Claymont plays Tuesday evenings, with doors at 5:00pm and games at 7:00pm. The Newark Elks Lodge on Elks Trail in New Castle plays every Thursday at 7:00pm. The Mill Creek Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary on Kirkwood Highway is an unconfirmed Wednesday lead.
Where can I play bingo in Dover?
Dover, Delaware has one confirmed game: the Dover Elks Lodge 1903 on Saulsbury Road. It is listed on Wednesday with doors at 5:00pm and bingo at 7:00pm, but its page is old, so call first. Where can I play bingo in Newark, Delaware?
We could not confirm a weekly game inside the City of Newark, Delaware. The Newark Elks Lodge plays every Thursday at 7:00pm, but its building is at 42 Elks Trail in New Castle. The Newark Senior Center’s Wednesday game is an unconfirmed lead.
Why call before I go?
A short call confirms the game is on. In Delaware, volunteers run bingo and most groups may hold only one bingo night a week, so one cancelled night can mean a week without a game. Holy Rosary cancels for bad weather, and the Dover Elks page has not been updated in years. Many Delaware bingo permits also run only a few months at a time.
