Montana bingo runs under a state permit. Most of it is a weekly night at a bar, a lodge or a club, not a big charity hall. You’ll find games in Billings, which has a hall that plays every day, and around Missoula and Hamilton. Others are in Bozeman and Butte, at Flathead Valley bars, and at a casino bingo hall in Browning. Last checked: October 2026. Of the 17 games below, five are confirmed on the venue’s own website or calendar. The other 12, mostly bar nights, rest on an April 2025 Billings guide or on 2026 events listings rather than the bar’s own site. Fifteen of the 17 also hold a live bingo permit on the state’s September 2026 list. Ten more are older leads. Bar bingo nights start and stop with the seasons, so a quick call before a long drive is wise.

Billings is the easiest place in Montana to find a game, with 6 confirmed bingo games and something on every night of the week. Big B Bingo plays every evening, and five bars and clubs each hold one bingo night from Monday to Thursday. Big B and the Grandstand post their own times. The other four come from an April 2025 Billings365 guide, and all six hold a current state live bingo permit. None of the six give card prices and four list no phone, so ask at the door. More bars in Billings, Laurel, Worden and Huntley, named in a 2024 article, are in the table further down. Near the state line? Our Wyoming bingo halls page covers the games to the south.

More Montana Bingo Listings
None of these 10 games is confirmed. The eight around Billings come from a November 2024 local article. Each bar or club was still on the state’s September 2026 bingo permit list, but we found no 2025 or 2026 schedule for any of them. The two in Great Falls come from an undated lodge page and a bar directory. Treat the days as leads and phone first. For other states, see our USA bingo hall directory.

Montana Bingo Rules
- Who regulates it: the Montana Department of Justice, Gambling Control Division, under Title 23, chapter 5, part 4 of the Montana Code Annotated
- Who can run it: anyone with a state gambling operator’s license and an annual live bingo permit for the premises, which costs $250 and expires June 30. Charities with a 501(c)(3), (c)(4), (c)(8) or (c)(19) exemption also need a permit, but may be spared the bingo tax and all or half the fee
- Minimum age: 18 for any gambling, with charity raffles the only exception
- Card price and prizes: a card may cost no more than $1, one game may pay no more than $800, and all the bingo prizes in a session may total no more than $3,000
- Special sessions: with state approval, up to five special sessions a year, at least 30 days apart, with up to $5,000 in total prizes. The $800 game limit still applies
- Charities away from home: a tax-exempt charity playing away from its own premises may charge no more than 50 cents a card and pay no prize over $100
- Sessions and hours: at least 2 hours or 20 games per session, then 2 hours before the next one on the same premises. Live bingo must stop from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. unless a local ordinance allows it
- Tax: the operator pays 1 percent of gross bingo proceeds to the city or county where the game is played. The bingo law says nothing about tax on a player’s winnings
The limits above come from the Montana Code Annotated, such as the card price and prize rules in section 23-5-412. You must be in the room to play. The law does not let anyone off the premises join a game. The Gambling Control Division posts a monthly list of every place with a live keno or bingo permit on its statistics and reports page. That list shows a permit, not a schedule. Many entries also carry a mailing address rather than the bar’s street address, and Glacier Peaks in Browning is not on it. To compare with other states, see bingo rules by state.

Montana Bingo FAQ
Where can I play bingo in Montana?
We confirmed 17 Montana bingo games in October 2026. Six are in Billings, five around Missoula, Lolo and Hamilton, three in the Flathead Valley, and one each in Bozeman, Butte and Browning. Big B Bingo in Billings is the only hall we found that plays every day, and most others are one night a week at a bar or lodge.
How old do you have to be to play bingo in Montana?
You must be 18 to play bingo in Montana. State law bars anyone under 18 from all gambling, except buying tickets in a charity raffle. Some bar games, such as BINGO Wednesday at Bozeman Spirits, are 21 and over.
What is the biggest bingo prize allowed in Montana?
Montana caps a single bingo game at $800 and a whole session at $3,000, and a card may cost no more than $1. With state approval, an operator may hold up to five special sessions a year with up to $5,000 in total prizes.
Who regulates bingo in Montana?
The Montana Department of Justice, Gambling Control Division. It licenses gambling operators and issues the annual live bingo permit each premises needs. It also posts a monthly list of places with a live keno or bingo permit.
Can bars run bingo in Montana?
Yes. Montana bingo is not limited to charities, and most places on the state’s September 2026 live bingo permit list are bars, saloons, clubs and lodges. A bar needs a state gambling operator’s license and a $250 annual live bingo permit.
Do Montana casinos have bingo?
Yes. Glacier Peaks Hotel, Casino, and Dining in Browning, Montana, has a bingo hall, but it posts no session times, so call (406) 338-2090. Many Montana bars call themselves casinos, and some run a weekly bingo night, such as the Grandstand Sports Bar and Casino in Billings on Tuesdays. See our casino bingo halls page for other states.
Where can I play bingo in Billings?
Big B Bingo at 1307 12th Street West in Billings, Montana, plays every evening at 6:45pm, with afternoon games on Wednesday and Sunday. Bars and a lodge add one night each: the Moose Lodge and High Horse Saloon on Monday, the Grandstand on Tuesday, the Squire Lounge on Wednesday and Bullwackers on Thursday.
Where can I play bingo in Missoula?
The Missoula Senior Center at 705 S. Higgins Ave. in Missoula, Montana, plays bingo every Thursday evening, with the Bingo Cafe open from 4:30pm. The Rhino downtown plays Thursday at 7:00pm, and the Sunrise Saloon on Strand Avenue plays Wednesday at 7:00pm.
Where can I play bingo in Great Falls?
We could not confirm a current weekly bingo game in Great Falls, Montana, in October 2026. The Great Falls Elks Lodge holds a state bingo permit, and its page describes Tuesday bingo from September through May. But its calendar shows no bingo after May 2024, so phone 406-454-1305 before you go. The confirmed game in that part of the state is the casino bingo hall at Glacier Peaks in Browning.
Why call before I go?
Most Montana bingo is a bar or lodge night that can change with the season, and the state’s permit list shows who may run bingo, not when. Several games here come from events calendars rather than the bar’s own site, and Glacier Peaks posts no times. A short call saves a wasted drive.
