Bingo Hall Guide for Louisiana

Louisiana bingo is charity bingo played in commercial halls and lodge halls: a licensed landlord rents the room to several charities, so the bigger halls have two to four sessions every day. The busiest are in Metairie and Gretna outside New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Hammond, Alexandria and Shreveport, and two tribal casinos add bingo of their own. The state’s records show no weekly bingo site in Orleans Parish, Kenner or Bossier City. Last checked: October 2026. Of the 42 games and licensed sessions below, 12 have a page from the hall, lodge, charity or casino itself behind them, though five of those pages give no current game times, and 30 rest only on the Louisiana Office of Charitable Gaming’s license records for January 1 to June 30, 2026; 7 more are unconfirmed leads. Those records show when a session is licensed to start, which can be an hour or two before the first number is called, and at lodges and clubs they do not name the game, so phone for the game time before you drive.

Louisiana Bingo at a Glance

  • Who regulates it: the Louisiana Office of Charitable Gaming, part of the Louisiana Department of Revenue
  • Minimum age: none in state law for charity bingo, but no one under 18 may play video bingo machines, and Coushatta’s casino hall is 21 and over
  • Main prize limit: $4,500 in prizes per session, with progressive jackpots on top
  • Games on this page: 42 games and licensed sessions, mostly around Metairie and Gretna, the Northshore, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and Alexandria
  • Casino bingo: Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Thursday to Sunday, and a players club game at Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville
  • Last checked: October 2026

New Orleans Metro Bingo Halls

The weekly halls for greater New Orleans sit in Jefferson Parish: two in Metairie and one in Gretna on the West Bank. The state’s records for January to June 2026 show only one-off events inside New Orleans itself and nothing weekly in Kenner, so the Lions hall on Airline Drive is the closest for Kenner players. For Chalmette, the one weekly site in St. Bernard Parish is next door in Arabi.

Baker Bingo, north of the city on Plank Road, is licensed for three sessions a day, shared by six groups that include the Rotary Club of Baker, the fire fighters association and the police reserves. Baker Bingo has a Facebook page but no website, so its times in the table are license start times, not game times.

Lafayette and Acadiana Bingo Halls

Two halls serve Lafayette: Johnston Street Bingo in the city, played for the Police Association of Lafayette, and the ABL Bingo Ranch west of town near Duson, which funds the Affiliated Blind of Louisiana. We could not confirm game times for either, so the days here come from state license records. Around them, VFW posts, a Legion post and a Knights of Columbus council hold one or two licensed sessions a week.

  • Phone: 337-981-0031

    • There is a full concession stand.
    • State records through June 2026 showed no Tuesday or Wednesday sessions. ABL sends players to the Bingo Ranch Facebook page for hours and specials.

    • We could not confirm regular game times or prices, so ask when you call.

Lake Charles Area Bingo

The Calcasieu Council on Aging’s Bingeaux Palace on Broad Street is the main charity hall in Lake Charles, with an evening game every day. Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, to the northeast, runs a 312 seat bingo hall from Thursday to Sunday. Vinton, near the Texas line, has a commercial hall licensed every day; for games across the border see our Texas bingo halls page.

  • Days and times: Monday 11:00am and 7:00pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:00pm. Friday and Saturday 6:45pm. Sunday 6:00pm
  • Good to know:
    • From the council’s 2026 bingo schedule, dated February 2026. The council, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana, the McNeese Cowboy Club and Girlie Girls Mentoring take turns.
    • The schedule also has 11:00am slots on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and a 1:00pm slot on Saturday marked Open, with no charity named. Do not count on those. State records suggest Thursday morning may be filled, so ask.
    • The council says there is room for smokers and non-smokers, and food is sold.
    • Some directories wrongly give the council’s office on Gerstner Memorial Boulevard as the hall address. The Broad Street address is on the hall’s March 2025 schedule sheet and in state records through June 2026, but local TV news reported in December 2024 that the council broke ground on a new building, so ask whether bingo has moved before you drive.
    • Prices and any age rule are not posted.

  • Good to know:
    • Tribal casino bingo in a 312 seat hall, with 6 early bird games, 10 regular games and 7 specials in each session. It is not state-licensed charity bingo, so the $4,500 session cap does not apply.
    • Regular game paper is $20 on Thursday and Friday and $30 on Saturday. The Sunday sheet shows $25 in one place and $20 in another, so ask. Early birds are $3.

Shreveport and Bossier City Bingo

One commercial hall on Shreveport Barksdale Highway carries the weekly charity bingo for both cities. The state’s records for January to June 2026 show no weekly site in Bossier Parish; an unconfirmed Bossier City lead is in the table further down.

  • Good to know:

    • These are license start times from state records. The hall has a Facebook page but no website that we could find, so phone for game times and prices.

Monroe and Alexandria Bingo

Alexandria has a commercial hall on Bolton Avenue licensed every day, a smaller hall on Lee Street with three nights a week, and a Legion post with two daytime sessions. Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville, to the southeast, plays a players club bingo game twice a week. Around Monroe and West Monroe, eleven sites had regular sessions on file, but several run back to back around the clock under names such as Chance Video Bingo, which points to video bingo machines. We list the two whose licensed hours look like called sessions; ask on the phone whether a caller game is on offer.

A few names from older Louisiana lists are not on this page. American Legion Post 1 is no longer on the Bingeaux Palace schedule in Lake Charles, and Drusilla Bingo Hall in Baton Rouge had no sessions on file in the first half of 2026. We left out the sites around Monroe, Bastrop and Farmerville that are licensed almost around the clock and appear to offer video bingo machines, and we could not confirm any bingo at the Cypress Bayou or Jena Choctaw Pines casinos.

Louisiana Bingo Rules

  • Who regulates it: the Louisiana Office of Charitable Gaming, part of the Department of Revenue, under La. R.S. 4:701 to 4:740; it licenses the charities, the hall landlords (commercial lessors) and the suppliers
  • Local say: each parish and city decides whether to allow charity bingo and may add its own license and rules on top of the state’s
  • Who may run it: licensed charitable organizations, with net proceeds going to educational, charitable, patriotic, religious or public spirited uses; workers must be at least 18
  • Prize limit: $4,500 in cash or prizes per session; progressive jackpots are extra and may reach $100,000
  • Super bingo: a special license allows up to four sessions a year with as much as $25,000 in prizes in one day
  • Sessions: no longer than eight hours; a charity may hold one session a day at a hall, and two groups may not play in the same place at the same time, which is why the big halls rotate several charities
  • Minimum age: none in state law for charity bingo, though no one under 18 may play video bingo machines; a hall may set its own rule
  • Electronics: handheld dabber units are allowed with up to 144 card faces a game; video bingo machines are a separate game with a $1,000 top prize

The prize cap is in La. R.S. 4:714, and the Office of Charitable Gaming lists licensed sessions in its Game Sites search. Its office number is 225-925-1835. Bingo at Coushatta and Paragon is run by tribal casinos outside the state charity law, so the limits above do not apply there. If gambling is causing problems, the Louisiana Problem Gamblers Helpline is 1-877-770-STOP (7867).

Louisiana Bingo FAQ

Where can I play bingo in Louisiana?

Louisiana has charity bingo halls in most of its larger cities. The busiest are in Metairie and Gretna near New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Baker, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Alexandria and Hammond, and most host several charities with sessions most days. Lodges, Lions clubs and Knights of Columbus councils add a night or two a week in smaller towns, and Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder runs bingo from Thursday to Sunday.

How old do you have to be to play bingo in Louisiana?

Louisiana law sets no minimum age to play charity bingo. The Louisiana Office of Charitable Gaming says the law does not bar people under 18 from playing, but they may not play video bingo machines, and workers must be 18. Halls can set stricter house rules, and Coushatta Casino Resort keeps anyone under 21 out of its gaming areas.

What is the biggest bingo prize allowed in Louisiana?

A licensed charity in Louisiana may award no more than $4,500 in prizes in one bingo session. Progressive jackpots sit outside that cap and may reach $100,000 under state law, and a special license allows up to four sessions a year with $25,000 in prizes in a day. Tribal casino bingo is not bound by these limits.

Who regulates bingo in Louisiana?

The Office of Charitable Gaming, part of the Louisiana Department of Revenue, licenses the charities, the commercial hall landlords and the suppliers. Parishes and cities decide whether to allow bingo locally and may add their own license and rules. The Office’s phone number is 225-925-1835.

Is there a bingo hall in New Orleans?

The weekly bingo halls for the New Orleans area are just outside the city in Jefferson Parish: Olister’s Napoleon Room and the Lions hall in Metairie, and Gretna Bingo Palace on the West Bank. Louisiana’s license records for January to June 2026 showed only one-off events inside Orleans Parish and nothing weekly in Kenner. Napoleon Room posts games every day, starting at 12:00pm Monday to Saturday and 4:30pm on Sunday.

Do Louisiana casinos have bingo?

Two tribal casinos in Louisiana post bingo on their own sites. Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder has a 312 seat bingo hall with sessions on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for guests 21 and over. Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville plays a players club bingo game on Wednesday and Thursday at 6:00pm, with free play as the prize.

Why call before I go?

Many Louisiana halls publish their schedules only on Facebook, and the charities holding each session change during the year. Many times on this page come from state license records for January to June 2026, which show when a session may start, not when the first number is called. A two minute call confirms the day, the game time and the buy-in.
