Bingo Hall Guide for Kansas

Kansas bingo is charity bingo: Shrine temples, VFW and American Legion posts and Elks and Eagles lodges run games under a license from the Kansas Department of Revenue, and Wichita has three charity halls that advertise play seven days a week. Four tribal casinos north of Topeka, in the northeast corner of the state, run bingo halls of their own. Last checked: October 2026. The 20 games below were checked against the organizer’s or casino’s own website, except one in Olathe that rests on a May 2025 news report; 19 play every week and one plays twice a month. Another 33 organizations come from the state’s July 2022 license list and are leads only. Several posts and lodges keep their schedule on pages with no date, so call before you drive.

Wondering what a night capped at $1,675 in regular game prizes leaves for the post, lodge or charity that runs it? Try the bingo payout calculator.

Kansas Bingo at a Glance

  • Who regulates it: the Kansas Department of Revenue licenses charity bingo under the Kansas Charitable Gaming Act; tribal casino bingo is run by the tribes and is not licensed under that Act
  • Minimum age: none in state law for call bingo, though each licensed organization may set its own; you must be 18 to buy pull-tabs; the casino halls set 18 at Prairie Band and Golden Eagle and 21 at Sac & Fox
  • Main prize limit: $1,675 for the regular call bingo games in one session from July 1, 2026, the figure on the Kansas Department of Revenue’s website; the statute and the department’s March 2026 handbook still show the $1,200 base; progressive and mini (early bird) games are not counted
  • Games on this page: 20 confirmed games, 19 of them weekly: 4 in Wichita and El Dorado, 3 in Overland Park, Olathe and Leavenworth, 7 in Topeka and the northeast (4 of them tribal casino halls), 3 in Salina, Hutchinson and Abilene, and 3 in Garden City and Goodland; 33 more are leads from the state’s July 2022 license list
  • Last checked: October 2026

Bingo in Wichita and South Central Kansas

We list 4 confirmed bingo games in south central Kansas: three charity halls in Wichita that advertise play seven days a week, and a Thursday game in El Dorado. The Wichita halls all trade as Bingo Casino (East, West and South) and share the same house rules: cash only, smoke-free inside, concessions every night, and a different local nonprofit sponsoring the games each night. The hall’s locations page lists all three. Its play times page gives 4:00pm to 10:00pm for each of them, but the home page says 5:00pm to 10:00pm, so phone the hall you want for tonight’s start. We could not confirm a game with a current schedule in Derby, Haysville, Newton, Winfield or Arkansas City; organizations from the state’s license list in those towns are in the table further down.

Kansas Bingo Rules

  • Who regulates it: the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR), through its charitable gaming administrator, under the Kansas Charitable Gaming Act, K.S.A. 75-5171 through 75-5188
  • Who can run it: only nonprofit religious, charitable, fraternal, educational and veterans organizations with a KDOR bingo license; a group must have existed for at least 18 months before it applies, and the license costs $25 and runs from July 1 to June 30
  • Prize limits: $1,675 for the regular call bingo games in a session from July 1, 2026, the figure on KDOR’s charitable gaming web page; the statute and KDOR’s handbook, revised in March 2026, still show $1,200, a base the law raises each July 1 with the consumer price index
  • Progressive and mini games: not counted in the session limit; a progressive game has no limit on its top prize but must be won within 20 sessions, with a consolation prize of no more than $1,000, and a mini game must pay out at least 50% of what its cards bring in
  • Minimum age: none in state law for playing call bingo, so each licensed organization may set its own; you must be 18 to buy instant bingo (pull-tab) tickets, and everyone working a game must be at least 18
  • Sessions: a session is a day on which a licensee conducts bingo; KDOR’s handbook says there is no limit on the number of sessions a licensee may hold in a week
  • Pull-tabs and taxes: licensed organizations may sell instant bingo tickets, and each box must return at least 60% of its sales as prizes; the state bingo taxes (3% on reusable cards and admission charges, $0.002 on each paper bingo face and 1% on instant tickets) are paid by the organization, not the player
  • Winnings and ID: the organization records the name and address of each winner of $100 or more, and a cash prize of $1,199 or more is paid by check from the organization’s bingo trust account

KDOR explains licensing and posts the current prize limit on its charitable gaming page. The same page links the state’s list of licensed bingo organizations, which is dated July 2022 and shows no days or times. These rules do not cover the four tribal casinos: under federal law, bingo on Indian lands stays within the jurisdiction of the tribe. Who regulates bingo in Kansas?

Charity bingo in Kansas is licensed by the Kansas Department of Revenue under the Kansas Charitable Gaming Act. Only nonprofit religious, charitable, fraternal, educational and veterans organizations can hold a license. Tribal casino bingo is not licensed by the Department of Revenue.

How old do you have to be to play bingo in Kansas?

Kansas law sets no minimum age for playing call bingo at a licensed charity game, so each organization makes its own rule. You must be 18 to buy pull-tab tickets. Tribal casinos set their own age: 18 at Prairie Band Casino and Golden Eagle Casino, and 21 at Sac & Fox Casino.

How much can a bingo game pay in Kansas?

The Kansas Department of Revenue’s website gives the prize limit for the regular call bingo games in one session as $1,675 from July 1, 2026. The statute and the department’s March 2026 handbook still show the $1,200 base, which the law adjusts each July for inflation. Progressive games and mini games are not counted in that limit, and a progressive game has no cap on its top prize. Tribal casinos are not held to the state limit.

Prairie Band Casino & Resort in Mayetta, Golden Eagle Casino in Horton and Casino White Cloud play Wednesday to Sunday, and Sac & Fox Casino in Powhattan plays matinees from Sunday to Wednesday.
